Studying el mundo

El mundo starts each winter term and incorporates courses from a variety of faculties. The program is officially attached to LMU’s Geography Department. In order to obtain the certificate, you will have to study 5 Modules with 6 ECTS credit points each (a total of 30 ECTS). For this, a standard period of study of 5 semesters is intended (maximal period of study is 7 semesters).

The program wants to enable future teachers to engage with the challenges of a sustainable development and their own roles therein. The teaching students obtain and deepen their knowledge on subjects concerning sustainability from both a humanities and a natural science point of view. They learn how you can teach elements and contents of education for sustainable development (ESD), how you can incorporate them in subject related as well as interdisciplinary contexts and live them in all areas of school.
