Global Talk #5: Reflectories - Didactic impulses for the fields of Global Learning and Education for Sustainable Development

22.01.2021 14:00  – 16:00

Reflectories (composed of "reflect" and "story") are interactive learning tools for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using auditory elements, short texts and images, users immerse themselves in a story and are confronted with challenging problem situations. You will get to know different actors and receive various, sometimes controversial, information. Repeatedly decisions have to be made that influence the further course of the story. The consequences of the decisions are immediately visible afterwards.

Reflectories help develop skills that are considered necessary for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. This includes, for example, recognizing connections, making decisions taking into account different perspectives and acting in the interests of sustainability (see https://reflectories.de/).

In Global Talk #5, the concept of Reflectories is examined in detail and individual materials are tried out. It is also embedded in the larger context of Global Learning. There will be plenty of room for discussion and exchange. In addition, ways are shown to create Reflectories yourself and to incorporate them into your own lessons.
