Global Talk #9: ESD in the digital space

14.01.2022 14:00  – 15:30

How can ESD be successfully implemented in the digital space? The extremely innovative organisations, the Munich Museum Education Center and the Weltfairsteher, asked themselves exactly this question in Global Talk #9. They presented their concepts and ideas on how they are already designing ESD in the digital space and bringing it into everyday school life. In the Global Talk we took a closer look at these offers, reflected on them and discussed how ESD can be implemented as worthwhile as possible in the digital space.

The Museum Education Center Munich has set itself the goal of taking sustainability into account as an entire institution. It has created a digital and interactive ESD offer that enables all types of schools to bring museum objects virtually into the classroom while still focusing on ESD.

The Weltfairsteher have the mission to enable free access to ESD throughout Germany and to bring the 2030 Agenda into everyday German school life. Their offer is aimed at students from the 5th grade. Their concept is interactive challenges, which are freely available as digital teaching material and are intended to address as many facets of ESD in the classroom as possible.
